Delphi Lions Christmas Parade
The annual Lions Christmas Parade will be held on Dec. 7, 2024. The parade is sponsored by the Delphi Lions Club in close cooperation with the City of Delphi.
The Parade will begin at 1 p.m.
Starting point of the parade is the old Middle School Gym on East Monroe St. The parade route proceeds west on Monroe, turning south on Market one block, turning east on Franklin, proceeding past the reviewing stand north of the Courthouse and disbanding east of Washington St.
The parade lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and continue until the parade begins. Registration is located at the east end of the parking area. There is no pre-registration and no fee to register.
Delphi Lions members will be on hand to register and line you up.
Judging will begin at 12:30 p.m.
Categories to be judged will be floats, cars, walking groups and animals.
Entries will be judged based on Creativity, Originality, Crowd Appeal and Demonstration of the theme. Winners will be announced at the reviewing stand as the entries pass by.
The theme for this year’s parade is Christmas Toys.
There is no rain date for the parade.
Individuals, groups, churches and businesses are encouraged to participate.
