A Swinging Holiday Concert with Lafayette Big Swing Band

Swing into the holiday season with a special performance of your Christmas favorites – played by a 17-piece Big band accompanied by two seasoned and well-loved vocalists. Delphi’s own, Al Rossi, will make his debut appearance singing with the band giving his classic rendition to songs like: Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” and Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song”. Long-time performer and Purdue Jazz Band alumnus Caitlin Cotten-Benner will bring her flair and swing to classic holiday favorites, including: Eartha Kit’s “Santa Baby” and Ella Fitzgerald’s “I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm”.

The Big Swing Band specializes in music of the golden era of swing – the 1930’s and 40’s sprinkled with music from all eras up to modern-day arrangements. This group of seasoned musicians have been “swinging” since 1999. Make your holiday special this year with the Big Swing Band from the Historic Stage of the Delphi Opera House.
