Indianapolis International Airport in the running for top airport contest

INDIANAPOLIS  – Calling all Hoosier travelers! The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) has been nominated as of one of USA Today’s top 20 Best Small Airports in the nation – and is calling on all Hoosier travelers to cast their online vote to make Indy number one on that list.
The top spot for best small airport, airports serving fewer than 10 million passengers each year, will be determined by public, online voting and USA Today has encouraged all nominees to get the word out to their communities. Indy airport officials are asking Hoosier travelers to vote at www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-small-airport/indianapolis-international-airport-indianapolis/ – and to share the link on social media.
“Indy travelers deserve that top spot!” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “It’s all about Hoosier Hospitality here in Indy, and the Indy airport strives to deliver that unique brand to the more than 9 million people who travel through IND each year. Every vote reiterates we’re a community that pulls together for the hometown team!”
In 2019, the Indy airport was honored with the titles of Best Airport in North America by Airports Council International for the seventh year in a row, as well as the Best Airport in North America for customer satisfaction by J.D. Power, and Best Airport in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler readers for the sixth year in a row.
Indy travelers have until Jan. 13, 2020 at noon Eastern Standard Time to cast their vote and can vote once per day.
